HICKORY, N.C. -- The Bears Club hosted the inaugural BeaRaPaLooZa over the weekend and the event was a huge success on multiple levels. In total, the Bears Club raised $185,668 this spring in support of the Lenoir-Rhyne student-athlete experience along with scholarships. Bears Give Back Day saw $116,668 donated to athletics from 242 different donors. The spring raffle broke a record for the most ticket sales at 510 from 378 different people and money raised at $51,000. The Gridiron Golf Classic raised $18,000 in support of our football team with their annual tournament at Rock Barn Country Club. Finally, over 2,500 people were on campus for the first annual BeaRaPaLooZa, creating an amazing atmosphere and tailgate on the practice field.
