FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - Emmanuel College is pleased to introduce Alex Latorre as the next Head Coach of the Women's Soccer program.  Coach Alex is most recently coming from The University of Auburn at Montgomery where he served as the Associate Head coach for the last year.  Prior to being at AUM, Coach Alex spent several years at York College in Nebraska where he served at the Head Coach for both the men's and women's soccer program.
 
Coach Alex Latorre was born in Brazil and has lived his adult life in the United States. During his time in the States he played at Oklahoma Christian University and subsequently was a member of the Kansas City Attack of the NPSL and was a member of the Minnesota Thunder in the USL.  Coach Alex has been active in soccer his entire life and has been connected directly to the sport for over 15 years.  
 
Coach Latorre takes over a program with great talent, energy, and excitement.  Nate Moorman, Vice President of Athletics at Emmanuel said this, "Our ability to hire someone with Alex's soccer ability and knowledge is only a part of the story.  Alex comes to Emmanuel College as a fantastic mission fit.  We are excited about what is to come on the pitch, but we are more excited about what is going to happen in the lives of these ladies!"  Alex had this to stay, "I am thrilled to be the next coach at Emmanuel College for the Women's Soccer program.  I am grateful for the history, the commitment, and the work of previous coaching staff.  Now it's time to continue moving forward. I look forward to hard work, high levels of competition, a great environment, a lot of championships, and seeing lives forever changed."
