Job Summary/Basic Function: | Wheaton College, an NCAA Division III institution located in Norton, Massachusetts, is looking for a motivated, energetic, passionate, and caring individual to lead our men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs. The Head Coach prepares the team for a full intercollegiate varsity season. Develop a recruiting plan and evaluate and identify qualified student-athletes. Prepare and manage operating, recruiting, and fundraising budgets. Work with local high schools and clubs to organize and execute pool rentals. Commitment to working and teaching within an environment that embraces the holistic development of the student-athlete. Serve in an administrative capacity and have a secondary duty as directed by the Athletic Administration. Comply with all NCAA Division III, NEWMAC, and Wheaton College rules and regulations. Essential Responsibilities: 1) Organize and conduct team practices to prepare the team for competition. Travel locally, regionally, and nationally for any regular or post-season events. 2) Oversee the student-athlete’s academic progress and be available for consultation and support for overall student-athlete well-being. 3) Develop and execute a recruiting plan for prospective student-athletes. 4) Create and implement a plan of engagement and communication with alumni and fundraising initiatives. 5) Serve in an administrative capacity as needed, including but not limited to overseeing fall and spring game management, budget management, full-time and part-time assistant supervision, as well as serving on department and campus-wide committees. |
Minimum Qualifications: |

Preferred Qualifications: | Master’s degree, collegiate swimming or diving experience, and 3-5 years of head coaching experience preferred. |
