Morgan Selected to be Assistant Coach for USA Basketball U16 National Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. – Ursinus College women's basketball head coach, Bobbi Morgan, was selected to be an assistant coach for the 2023 USA Women's Basketball U16 National Team announced by USA Basketball on March 30th.

Last summer, Morgan was a court coach prior to the FIBA Women's U17 World Cup, assisting with on-court drills and skills sessions during the Team Trials at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado.

This season, Morgan will attend the U16 Trials in Colorado Springs in May and then travel as an assistant coach with the team to the FIBA Americas U16 Championships.  Dan Rolfes, the head coach at Incarnate Word Academy in Missouri and Trenia Tillis-Hoard, the head coach at Tyler College in Texas, round out the staff. The trio of coaches just conducted a USA Basketball U16 mini camp in Dallas, Texas in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Final Four.

"I am honored and grateful to have this opportunity to work once again with USA Basketball and to be part of the U16 National Team staff", head coach Bobbi Morgan said. "It is an incredible opportunity to work and learn with some of the top coaches in the country and to work with the next generation of great players in women's basketball."
