Logan Named Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance

BOWIE, MD -- Bowie State Athletics has announced the hiring of Jocelyn Logan as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance on Wednesday February 5. Logan brings over 15 years of experience in athletic compliance, student-athlete development, and educational leadership.

"We are excited to welcome Jocelyn to Bulldog Nation as our new Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance," said Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation Clyde Doughty, Jr. With her extensive experience in compliance and a deep commitment to upholding the integrity of collegiate athletics, we are confident that Jocelyn will play a key role in ensuring the continued success and adherence to all regulations. We look forward to the positive impact she will bring to our team and our student-athletes."

Most recently, Logan served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Development at Howard University, where she played a vital role in ensuring NCAA compliance and guiding student-athletes toward academic and career success. She led initiatives that fostered leadership development and community service, reinforcing a strong culture of integrity and excellence within Howard Athletics.

Prior to her time at Howard, Logan was the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator at Virginia Union University, where she managed departmental operations, budgeting, and student-athlete development programs. She also played a pivotal role in Richmond Public Schools, leading curriculum improvements in health and physical education across eight high schools.

"I'm excited to support another branch of student-athletes in achieving their academic, athletic, and personal goals while fostering a culture of integrity, leadership, and community in Bowie State Athletics. This opportunity allows me to continue my passion for empowering students and driving positive change within the university and beyond."

Logan holds a Master of Science in Sport Management from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Virginia State University. Currently, she is pursuing an MBA at Howard University. Logan is also an active member of NACDA, Women Leaders in College Sports, and MOAA Governance Academy, as well as a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
