Patrick Thomas Hired as Associate AD, Chief Financial Officer

TOWSON, Md. – Patrick Thomas has been hired by the Towson University athletics department as Associate Athletic Director, Chief Financial Officer. Thomas, who has spent the last four years as a senior finance manager at Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) Health Partners, will begin his new position on April 12.

At GBMC Health Partners, he specialized in the analysis of financial documents and the projections of future business operations for 51 practices. A Baltimore native, Thomas graduated from Queens University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and was an all-conference lacrosse player.

"I am excited to be back in athletics," Thomas said. "It is great to be part of the competitive atmosphere and be part of a team that has a goal to succeed. I am really excited to get back to that environment and support student-athletes. It is an opportunity to be at a place where the name on the front of the jersey is worth more than the name on the back of the jersey."

Prior to his time at GBMC Health Partners, Thomas spent a year and a half at HITT Contracting in Northern Virginia, where he developed budgets and quarterly forecast for a $1.9 billion company with 2,000 active jobs.

After graduating from Queens, Thomas was a staff accountant at Compact Power Company then worked at Bank of America in Charlotte as a senior business control specialist.

Thomas was a four-year starter on defense for Queens, earning First Team All-South Atlantic Conference honors in 2014 and 2015. He finished his career with 111 ground balls and 52 caused turnovers. A Dean's List student, he also earned all-conference academic honors in his final three seasons.

Thomas and his wife, Gabby, reside in Towson.
