Madeline Schorlemmer Joins Griffon Athletics As Senior Associate AD for Compliance

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Madeline Schorlemmer has been named Missouri Western's Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance, Director of Athletics Andy Carter announced Tuesday.

Schorlemmer will begin her duties at Missouri Western on April 10.

"First, I would like to thank Andy and his team for giving me this opportunity," said Schorlemmer. "I look forward to working with the administration and coaches to continue to provide the best experience for the student-athletes. I could not be more excited to join the Griffon family!"

Starting her full-time compliance career in March of 2021, Schorlemmer served as Minot State's associate AD for compliance, as well as the department's senior woman administrator, overseeing student life and academic success. She was also appointed the university's diversity and inclusion designee.

"Madeline is a rock star," Carter said. "She has proven her value at every stop in her career and she is a great fit to our leadership team."

During her time in Minot, Schorlemmer held many responsibilities, such as coordinating and implementing NCAA, ACHA, NSIC and institutional rules and regulations for 17 varsity sports. She also maintained and monitored all proper internal and external forms, supervised multiple teams, provided academic advisement for student-athletes' academic progress and fulfilled many more roles.

"Madeline's experience implementing ARMS, working and building relationships with coaches and students while providing leadership across campus will prove to be vital to our continued success."

Schorlemmer's compliance experience started in June of 2020, working as an intern at Oklahoma Baptist. During her time at OBU, she helped oversee Bison Men's and Women's Tennis as an assistant coach from September of 2018 to March of 2021. Her tennis playing career saw great success, as she graduated from Midwestern State in 2016 with an overall record of 113-40, placing her sixth all-time in program history.

The arrival of Schorlemmer marks the departure of Scottie Moler, who is taking a compliance position at the University of Iowa. Moler started his time at Missouri Western last summer, providing firm stability for the compliance staff and office.

"We are very excited for Scottie," Carter said. "He brought great energy and productivity to our department, and we are forever grateful to him."
