The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Friday that they have extended their deal with Missouri Western State University to host their annual training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri through the 2024 NFL season.

Kansas City had two option years remaining on its contract with the school heading into the 2023 NFL offseason and exercised those option years. The home of the Griffons has been the home of the Chiefs’ training camp during every year that they’ve held a training camp since 2010.

“We are thrilled to announce that we will return to Missouri Western State University and the St. Joseph community for another two years,” Chiefs President Mark Donovan said, via press release. “Missouri Western and St. Joseph have warmly hosted our team and fans for the past 13 years – a welcome start to the  NFL season. I want to thank President Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy and Director of Athletics Andy Carter for their leadership throughout this process, and we look forward to starting our 2023 season at Missouri Western again this summer.”

2023 marks the 13th season that the Chiefs will head to the Missouri Western State University campus for training camp. They’ve had five training camp host sites during franchise history and this one will now become the third-longest host for training camp.

We’re grateful to the Chiefs for making us their summer training camp home and to the St. Joseph community for embracing the team and its fans.”

Official dates and times for the Chiefs’ training camp will be announced by the team in mid-June.
