Barb Bolich Named as Director of Athletics at Wyoming Seminary

Cambridge, Mass. (March 29) -- Barb Bolich, the MIT associate director of athletics/senior woman administrator, has been named as the director of athletics at Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, Pa. She will begin her duties on July 1, 2023.
 
"I would like to thank Barb for her 15 years of dedicated service to MIT and to DAPER," said Dr. G. Anthony Grant, MIT director of athletics/DAPER department head. "Barb has been a passionate advocate for our student-athletes, coaches, and staff throughout her tenure at the Institute. I wish her continued success as she embarks on this new professional opportunity at Wyoming Seminary."
 
During her 15 years at MIT, Bolich has overseen the daily operations of a number of MIT's 33 intercollegiate athletic programs while also coordinating the hosting of special and championship events. She joined the staff as assistant director of athletics/senior woman administrator in 2008 and was elevated to her current position in 2016.
 
"Wyoming Seminary is a highly respected institution rich in history and tradition," said Bolich. "I look forward to joining The Sem team and I hope my contributions add value to the community. It has been a privilege to work at MIT with so many talented and committed coaches, student-athletes and staff. I wish them continued success moving forward."
 
Bolich is a graduate of Temple University, where she earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees. Her experience in intercollegiate athletics spans 30 years as she began her career as the swimming head coach at Bryn Mawr College from 1993-2000, while also serving as the associate director of athletics there from 1996-2000.
 
Bolich also worked at Dominican University from 2000-2006, including as the director of athletics from 2001-2006. She was also the assistant director of athletics at Regis University (Colo.) from 2006-2008 before joining the staff at MIT.
