Division I LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND
– Almost 100 points separate the DI leader, Ohio State, and second place Texas in the first winter LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings. The Buckeyes lead with 858 total points, while Texas tallied 758.75 points.
 
Ohio State had a strong showing in the winter championships to date with five top-10 finishes (women's basketball, fencing, women's ice hockey, women's swimming & diving and wrestling). Eight total teams earned the Buckeyes points to date.
 
Texas ended the fall season in eighth and jumped several spots for the winter, scoring in six of 11 sports scored through last weekend. The Longhorns recorded a pair of second place finishes in both women's swimming & diving and women's indoor track and field, while also placing third in men's swimming & diving.
 
Rounding out the top-five is Stanford in third with 754.50 points, North Carolina in fourth with 686.50 points and Alabama in fifth with 634.25 points.
 
Stanford has scored in seven sports to date, including three top-10 showings (men's and women's swimming & diving, women's indoor track and field).
 
North Carolina has scored in six sports to date, including a top-10 finish in women's swimming & diving.
 
Alabama recorded top-10 finishes in men's basketball and men's and women's indoor track and field, while also scoring points in three other sports (men's and women's swimming & diving, women's basketball).
 
CONFERENCE
At the conference level, the ACC leads all Division I conferences with seven institutions in the top-25 – North Carolina (4th), NC State (9th), Virginia (10th), Notre Dame (12th), Louisville (15th), Duke (17th) and Pittsburgh (22nd).
