St. Bonifacius, MN - Crown College Athletics welcomes
Celia Blattner as the next Head Volleyball Coach.
"Over the past few months, it has become very clear that this opportunity is a door that the Lord has opened for me to step through. I am passionate about continuing to improve the culture and the competitiveness of the team. As I look forward to the journey ahead, I know it will not come without challenge and an immense amount of growth but I remain confident that for this too, the Lord will make a way," said Blattner.
Blattner has spent the past two seasons as an assistant at Crown while also coaching club volleyball for the past six years. She also gained experience as a student assistant in her final semester at Bethel University. As a player Blattner competed in three seasons as an outside hitter at Bethel University.

These last four months serving as our interim head coach, Celia has impressed us all with her leadership, hard work, passion, and commitment to this volleyball program," said Athletics Director Michael Vigue, "She has earned this opportunity and I am excited to watch her build a program known for a commitment to faith, hard work, teamwork, and excellence on and off the court." Blattner grew up in Cold Spring, Minnesota and attended Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota from 2017-2021. Blattner is currently working on obtaining her Masters in Sports Coaching and Administration from Crown and will begin her role effective immediately.
