GRINNELL, Iowa — President Anne F. Harris has been appointed to the NCAA Division III Presidents and Chancellors Advisory Group, where she will represent the Midwest Conference. Her term of service on the committee began immediately and will continue through January 2025.

The advisory group engages presidents and chancellors in governance discussions at the national, conference, and institutional levels. Its primary objectives are to enhance the level of understanding by presidents/chancellors of the NCAA governance process, particularly relating to key issues facing Division III; to enhance the leadership of presidents/chancellors in the governance of intercollegiate athletics; to boost the integration of athletic programs within the educational mission of Division III institutions and conferences; and to better recognize and accommodate the differing models of conference governance and leadership expectations within Division III.

President Harris expressed her excitement at the opportunity to serve on the advisory group. “I am honored to represent the Midwest Conference on this important advisory group,” said Harris. “I look forward to working with my fellow presidents and chancellors to enhance the experience for student-athletes within Division III institutions and conferences.”

Grinnell's Associate Athletic Director Ben Cooprider said, “President Harris will be a tremendous addition to the NCAA Division III Presidents Advisory Group. She has shown a passion for the experience provided through intercollegiate athletics, especially with her commitment to spectatorship. There is a great deal afoot within the higher education landscape, including the NCAA, and President Harris is well-versed and prepared to serve as a valuable adviser.”
