MOBILE, Ala. – Spring Hill College Athletic Director Joe Niland announced that Karen McConico will not return as head coach of the women's basketball team on Thursday.

 "We thank coach McConico for her dedication and service to the women's basketball program here at Spring Hill College. Karen led the basketball program through the very difficult transition process from the NAIA to NCAA Division II and we are grateful for her efforts."

McConico accumulated a 119-192 record over 12 season with the Badgers. This included three seasons at the NAIA level in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) and nine seasons in NCAA Division II as a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) west divsion. During the 2017-18 season, McConico led SHC to a 22-6 overall finish and a SIAC West Championship with a 15-3 conference record.
