SFA Athletics Announces Key Promotions in Leadership Team

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- SFA Athletics is excited to announce the promotion of three members of its leadership team. These promotions reflect their dedication to advancing the department's mission of providing an elite experience for all Lumberjack athletes.

Loree McCary has been promoted to Deputy Athletics Director for Administration & Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). McCary, the department's second highest-ranked administrator, will be involved in policy development, staff training, and student-athlete welfare. As Deputy AD and SWA, McCary will expand her influence over administrative functions, supporting SFA's vision for a unified and thriving athletics community.  She will have direct oversight of sports medicine and sport performance, and serves as the department's Title IX coordinator. 
 
Jordan Berry has been promoted to Senior Associate Athletics Director of Student-Athlete Services. Berry has been an integral part of SFA's academic and wellness programs, consistently championing resources to support student-athletes' academic success and career development. In this elevated role, Berry will continue overseeing academic services, student-athlete development and compliance ensuring SFA student-athletes have the tools needed to excel in and out of the classroom.

Lauren Stacy has been promoted to Senior Associate Athletics Director of Internal Affairs. Stacy has been instrumental in managing SFA Athletics' financial operations, bringing a sharp focus on budgeting, strategic planning, and operational improvements. In her expanded role, Stacy oversees ticketing, contracts and game operations in addition to facilities and budget. Stacy will be pivotal in driving the department's financial and operational strategies, ensuring that SFA Athletics continues to provide an exceptional environment for both student-athletes and supporters.
 
"These promotions are part of a restructure of the department and recognize the performance of three outstanding leaders who will play important roles in the future of SFA Athletics," said Michael McBroom, Director of Athletics. "As we continue to move towards the new model in college athletics, Loree, Jordan and Lauren will be vital to our mission of delivering a championship experience for our student-athletes, coaches and alumni."
