ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley head men's tennis coach Dave Remsburg has announced his retirement after 14 years of leading the Flying Dutchmen.

Remsburg retires after guiding the Dutchmen to Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth championships and NCAA Tournament berths in 2022 and 2023. The Dutchmen have appeared in the conference tournament every year during his tenure, including five appearances in the title match. He has amassed an impressive 142-100 record including a 58-23 mark in conference play. Currently, the Dutchmen boast an impressive streak of 18 consecutive victories against MAC Commonwealth teams and are undefeated in their last 17 home matches played at the Shankroff Tennis Center.

"Dave has brought the men's tennis program to new heights during his time as an assistant coach and head coach," said Rick Beard '90, M'92, athletic director. "Dave's passion for tennis and LVC athletics was evident in his work. I want to thank him for his dedication and years of service to LVC Athletics."

Remsburg was named the MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year three times, including the last two seasons. He mentored 40 All-Conference selections, three Rookies of the Year, and two Players of the Year during his years as head coach. He also coached one MAC Individual Champion and 16 runners-up.

Prior to his appointment as head coach, Remsburg served as an assistant coach under Cliff Myers from 2002–2009 and helped the men's team to a 90-58 record and a MAC Championship in that span. In 2009, with both the men and the women earning NCAA tournament berths, Remsburg coached the men in their match against Mt. Union while Myers coached the women at another site.

"I'd like to thank Rick, Stacey, and the amazing athletic staff," said Remsburg. "I have learned a lot from the other LVC coaches over the years and their passion for the school and their sports is second to none. Over the past 21 years, I have enjoyed watching the growth of the program and the student-athletes. Doing it with my wife and great friend has been something I'll never forget."
