About This Role:

The Sr. Associate Athletic Director for Revenue Generation reports directly to the Director of Athletics. The successful candidate will oversee all external units within the athletic department: Cardinal Athletic Fund, corporate sponsorships, marketing, media relations and ticketing.

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive strategic plan for Athletics revenue generation, including management of corporate sponsorships, ticket operations, marketing, media rights, and all other operating and non-operating revenue.
  2. Lead Athletics department in all external donor engagement efforts in connection with
    and in support of the Athletics strategic plan and comprehensive Revenue Generation
    plan.
  3. Lead various units and initiatives within Athletics, including corporate sponsorships,
    development, ticket sales, licensing, marketing, athletic communications, fundraising and
    multi-media rights.
  4. Serve on the senior leadership staff of the Department of Athletics and provide input
    into the overall execution of the athletics department. Ensure efforts are collaborative
    and the work is unified amongst the university and athletics staff.
  5. Support mission and vision of The Cardinal Athletic Fund, as well as that of Lamar
    University, with integrity and in compliance with all NCAA, conference and University
    rules, policies, and procedures.
  6. Responsible for the performance, development, and professional growth of all direct
    reports.
  7. Serve as a sport administrator for assigned sport(s).
  8. Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field relevant to the position summary and essential job functions
  • 5-7 years progressively increasing responsibility and experience in external revenue generation in college of professional sports or equivalent experience required; master’s degree or higher preferred.
