Manhattan College has parted ways with head coach Cat Clifford, the school announced last week.
“I want to thank Coach (Cat) Clifford for seven years of being a part of the Manhattan College community and serving the student-athletes,” Manhattan athletic director Marianne Reilly said in a statement. “We wish her the best of luck and nothing but success in her future endeavors. I look forward to continuing to elevate the softball program and the success of the student-athletes on and off the field, as we search for a new head coach.”
Clifford spent the last two seasons as the Jaspers’ head coach. She was also an assistant coach for the squad during the 2021 season that included an MAAC championship and an NCAA tournament berth.
In total, Clifford spent eight years as part of the Manhattan program.
