PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It was announced today [May 22] that Providence College and softball Head Coach Jill Karwoski have mutually agreed to part ways. Karwoski recently completed her fifth season as the head coach of the Friars.

"I want to thank Jill for all her hard work over the last five years," Athletic Director Steve Napolillo said. "I wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

During her tenure at Providence, Karwoski compiled an 81-102-1 overall record, including a 32-53-1 mark in BIG EAST Conference play. This season, Providence posted a 15-32 mark overall and a 6-18 record in BIG EAST action.

The College will begin a national search immediately to fill the position.
