RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College athletic department announced on Tuesday that
Matt Brown has been named the next head coach of the women's golf program.
"I am thrilled for the opportunity to coach the Women's Golf program. Through the last six years at Earlham, learning how Earlham's Principles and Practices infuse into every aspect of life, I look forward to bringing that ethos to build an epic golf program." Said Brown. "I want to thank Bonita Washington-Lacey, Vice-President of Student Life, Adam Hutchinson, Director of Athletics, and
CD Hockersmith, Director of Golf, for entrusting me to lead the Earlham College Women's Golf program."
Brown joined the Earlham men's golf team as associate head coach in 2021, and has been with the college as Director of the Quantitative Research Center since 2017.
With his guidance, the Quakers have earned consecutive fifth-place finishes in the HCAC Championship, with two all-conference performances. Earlham also had five HCAC Athlete of the Week performances with Brown on the coaching staff.
