MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State football team has added a nonconference home game to its 2023 schedule as it will now host Western Oregon on October 14 at Blakeslee Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

This will be the first meeting between the Mavericks and the Wolves.

The Western Oregon football team competes in the Lone Star Conference and finished its 2022 season with a 6-5 record, including a 5-4 LSC record.

Minnesota State opens its 2023 season on Thursday, August 31, as it takes on the Sioux Falls Cougars. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., at Bob Young Field in Sioux Falls, S.D.
