ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — As announced by Head Coach Tyler Fenwick, Griffon Football has renovated their locker room with multiple new perks to help players feel like they have a second home inside the Griffon Indoor Sports Complex.
The football locker room's new assets include personalized monitors above each players' locker, new LED lights throughout the room, new furniture and a player lounge area. Fenwick is thankful to the donors who helped make this idea a reality.
"There has been a lot of donors that understand that the arm's race in the MIAA is a big deal," Fenwick said. "(It's about) putting something in here that takes us to the next level but also gives us a place where our student-athletes can have a great experience and kind of make this feel like home."
"I really have to thank our former Vice President for Finance Darrell Morrison for helping put the energy back behind this and then for the support from President (Dr. Elizabeth) Kennedy to help us get it all the way done," said Director of Athletics Andy Carter. "Our coaches and our students deserve this type of a facility, and we're going to continue to do that and upgrade as we go."
