Waterbury, CT – Post University is excited to announce that its football program will be joining the Northeast-10 (NE10) as an associate member beginning in the Fall of 2024.

The Eagles announced a move to to Division II Football from Sprint Football in 2020 and took the field for the first time in 2021 in a transition season, followed by a full Division II schedule as an independent in 2022. They will play as an independent in 2023.

"We are extremely excited to be part of such a prestigious conference in football like the NE10," Post University Athletics Director Ronnie Palmer said. "We look forward to being a member that'll be committed, productive and involved with the conference. I know our student athletes and coaches are looking forward to being able to compete on a weekly basis with Northeast-10 schools, while also having an opportunity to gain weekly monthly and yearly accolades."

Post University will be the ninth team joining the Northeast-10 in football, joining Assumption University, the University of New Haven, Bentley University, Pace University, Saint Anselm College, Southern Connecticut State University, Franklin Pierce University and American International College.

We, at Post, are incredibly excited to accept the invitation to join the NE10 in football for the 2024 season," head football coach Adam Schultz said. "The conference is rich in tradition and perennially produces teams that have made deep NCAA playoff runs.  The opportunity for our student-athletes to compete in such a tremendous conference both academically and athletically is second to none.  We look forward to what the future holds for this university as well as our team as we embark on this new chapter in
our program's history."

In its first season playing a Division II schedule in 2022, the Eagles played seven NE10 schools.

"The NE10 is pleased to extend associate membership to Post University in the sport of football," said NE10 Commissioner Julie Ruppert. "Its commitment to the sport is important to the region and we are happy to welcome Post into the Conference. This is a win-win situation for the NE10 and Post, providing long-term stability to a sport critical to both the Conference and our institutions. We look forward to extending the excellent student-athlete experience for which the NE10 is known to this new group of football student-athletes at Post University."

The football program is the second athletics program to join the NE10 as an associate member. The men's hockey program joined in the 2019-2020 season.
