HARRISONBURG, Va. – Following the most successful priority deadline sales in department history, James Madison Athletics announced 8,125 season tickets sold as of its May 15 priority deadline.
 
As a result of the high demand for tickets, additional season ticket sales for patrons who did not order by the May 15 deadline are on hold at this time. Once the department completes its seat selection process in June, any remaining season tickets, if available, will go on sale prior to the start of early bird single game ticket sales, which begin on June 28.
 
JMU's previous season ticket record of 7,708 was set in 2022 for the football program's first season in the Sun Belt Conference. That included 6,241 season tickets purchased by the May 15 priority deadline and additional sales all summer through the first two games, September 3 and 10, in 2022. The 8,125 total for the 2023 deadline represents a 30% increase over any previous May 15 sales total in department history.
 
Seat selection for all who purchased by the May 15 priority deadline will begin on June 5 and run through mid-June. All who purchased by the priority deadline will receive direct communication via email with their individual selection time and instructions for completing the process. Those instructions include information about modifying or upgrading their seat reservations.
 
It is anticipated that any additional season ticket availability will be limited. Public single game ticket sales will begin on July 5. With single game demand anticipated to be high and availability low following the most successful season ticket sales in department history, Duke Club membership ensures the best access to single game tickets with advance sales available to Duke Club members beginning June 28. Fans can still join the Duke Club prior to that date by visiting JMUDukeClub.com.
 
The priority seating process does not apply to JMU students. Student tickets, including incoming first-year students, are made available 12 days prior to each home game. Members of the Student Duke Club receive one day of advance access to each game before the rest of the JMU student body.
