Required Qualifications:  

  • Master’s degree in communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an athletics communications role; 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; 
  • Supervisory experience; 
  • Ability to work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships;
  • Working knowledge of and ability to:
    • Utilize basic office support software (word processing, email, presentation software and spreadsheets) 
    • Operate effectively within a highly regulated team environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working collaboratively within an external relations unit that includes social media, photography, videography, video production, graphic design and marketing; 
  • Experience performing collaborative, creative, work within an organization for the purpose of revenue generation;
  • Experience working directly with a high-profile sport at an NCAA Division I institution.
