EUGENE, Ore. — The University of Oregon athletic department announced today that Chelsea Hoffmann has resigned as the head coach of the Ducks' lacrosse program. Associate head coach Caitlin Prince has been named the interim head coach.

"We want to thank Chelsea for all of her efforts in the five years she led our program," Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens said. "We wish her and her family all the best in their next chapter."

Hoffmann led the Ducks for five seasons from 2019-23, and a national search for a new leader for the Oregon lacrosse program is underway.

"I want to thank the University of Oregon, Rob Mullens and Lisa Peterson for giving me the opportunity to be the head coach at Oregon," Hoffmann said. "The foundation has been built the right way, and I wish the student-athletes the best in their future as athletes and people."
