MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College Director of Athletics Larry Hiser announced Tuesday (Nov. 29) afternoon that Head Women's Soccer Coach
Sean Kaighin has resigned and his assistant coach,
Taylor Floyd, has been named interim coach while a national search for Kaighin's replacement is conducted.
"We thank Sean for his dedication to the women's soccer program the past five years," Hiser said. "We wish Sean the best in his future endeavors."
Kaighin came to Marietta as an assistant coach in 2018. He was named the head coach a year later and served as the Pioneers' head coach the past four seasons. Eight Pioneers earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors under Kaighin's guidance.
Marietta went 3-12-1 this fall and posted a 2-7 OAC record.
