The American Southwest Conference invites applications for its next Conference Commissioner. In consultation with the ASC Council of Presidents, the Commissioner will be the Chief Executive Officer of the American Southwest Conference. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellence in athletic leadership.

The Commissioner is charged with not only the day-to-day management of one of the most competitive and diverse NCAA Division III conferences, but also must be prepared to execute the strategic priorities as set by the Council of Presidents. The candidate should exhibit evidence of experience with strategic planning and execution, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work collegially with diverse constituencies, and a commitment to the ASC. Candidates should demonstrate prior experience in fiscally responsible management practices. The ideal candidate will have a record of broad and substantive administrative experience, most frequently demonstrated by successful tenure as a conference, association or campus leader with a proven track record as a self-motivated and results oriented professional
