Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders completed a sweep of the Southern Wesleyan Warriors this afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. NGU combined for six home runs in game one and put together an eleven run inning as the Crusaders took the first game of the doubleheader with a score of 15-0. Game two proved to be much more competitive, but NGU would ultimately pull away to win 19-12. With the regular season complete, NGU finishes the regular season with a 44-6 overall record with a 26-4 record in conference play.
In addition to the doubleheader and series sweep, John Michael Faile made NCAA Division II history by breaking the career RBI record of 310. The record was tied when Faile brought in a run in the bottom of the second in game one of the doubleheader. In game two, he would then break the record with a two run double down the left field line.
