Bowling Green Announces Staff Reorganization

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Athletics Department has completed an administrative reorganization that will better position Falcon Athletics for continued and enhanced success within the areas supporting revenue generation, as announced by Bowling Green Director of Athletics & Recreation Derek van der Merwe.

The reorganization will transition Marketing & Brand Enhancement which also includes Creative under the direct oversight of Dan Meyer, Senior Associate AD for Resource Development. Meyer, currently has direct oversight of the Falcon Club, Ticket Sales and Operations which also supports the Falcon Club and he serves as the liaison with Falcon Sports Properties. Merging two key components of revenue generation, engagement, and fan experience under the same administrative structure. 
 
In addition to the external restructuring which will create critical synergy, BGSU will be reorganizing within the Falcon Club to streamline the organization. Assistant AD for Development, Ryan Hite, will focus on regional donor cultivation and stewardship.  A second Development Officer position will be added with a concentration on major gift discovery efforts and principal gift identification along with national donor cultivation and stewardship. Lindsay Klemm, Falcon Club Coordinator, will be dedicated to annual fund efforts and fundraising events. The process to fill the second Development Officer position will begin soon. 
 
To round out the restructuring, Max Heeke has joined the staff as the Executive Assistant to the Director of Athletics and Recreation.  Heeke will provide support to the Director of Athletics in the overall day-to-day operations and will also be assisting the Falcon Club on the annual giving side along with general event management. Heeke comes to BGSU after serving as the director of budget and financial operations at CMU.
