CHENEY, Wash. — Three candidates for Eastern Washington University's Associate Vice President / Director of Intercollegiate Athletics position have been identified and will conduct daylong interviews beginning the end of May through early June. Each will include a public forum hosted in Spokane.

The three candidates are:
Public forums, inviting the community to meet the candidates and ask questions, will be hosted at EWU's Catalyst Building at 601 E. Riverside Ave in Spokane on the following dates:
- Thursday, May 25 (3-4:30 p.m.) — Jim Sarrá, Jr., Ed.D. (Zoom link)

Current EWU Associate Vice President / Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Lynn Hickey announced her upcoming retirement in February. Wrapping up a storied 50-year career in education and athletics, Hickey was a pioneer in the field as one of the first women to play, coach and administer collegiate sports. Her contract expired on April 30 but was temporarily extended through the end of May to provide leadership continuity to the department during the transition.
