FRANKLIN – Franklin College Director of Athletics Andrew Hendricks has announced a change at the helm of the women's lacrosse program, with Todd Burris taking over as the new head coach of the Grizzlies.

Burris takes over for Morgan McIntosh, who announced her resignation following the end of the season.

"Coach Burris brings a wealth of athletic and administrative experience which is a recipe for success," Hendricks said. "His dedication and commitment to the success of this program will benefit the women on the team in a tremendous way. We are excited to see the program prosper and the women thrive on and off the field under Coach Burris's leadership"

Burris has been involved with the game of lacrosse as an official at the high school boys level and will lean on his experience as a former student-athlete at the Division I and Division II levels along with strong leadership skills to help the women's lacrosse program build off its most successful season to date. Burris was a three-sport athlete in high school and walked on to the tennis team at St. Joseph's College before later catching on as a walk-on for the track and field team at Indiana State University, where he would finish his bachelor's degree in criminology in 1994.

After graduation, he entered the corporate world where he quickly became known as an innovator and built one of the insurance industry's top compliance programs. Additionally, he spent 10 years as a volunteer in local law enforcement and carries a passion for servant leadership into this role. His time spent volunteering gives him the leadership and communication skills to continue the upward trajectory of the lacrosse program.

Franklin finished the 2023 season with a 9-6 record, advancing to the championship game of the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) for the first time in program history.
