JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - For the fourth-straight year, North Florida Athletics set a new record for total dollars raised and donors that contributed as the department generated a record $335, 468.36 with the generosity of 1,718 donors following UNF Giving Day March 22.

The total donor tally is a 1,001 percent increase from the inaugural Giving Day in 2018, as well as a 2,494 percent increase in dollars raised from that same year. Additionally, this year's fundraising mark surpasses last year's total and featured a 648 donor increase from 2022.

"Thank you so much to all of the Giving Day donors," Director of Athletics Nick Morrow said. "I am so impressed by our development team, staff, coaches and student-athletes. Without their tremendous effort, the record-breaking success would not have been possible. I am extremely appreciative of all 1,718 donors. The record number of donors combined with the increase in attendance at our events shows me that the support for UNF Athletics is on the rise. We look forward to building on the Giving Day momentum and we know that more great things are to come."

This year's effort was intended to support the complete student-athlete experience, from on field or court competition to travel, classwork, nutrition and more. A special credit to the North Florida Athletics Development staff and the efforts of each athletics program, UNF Athletics finished with the most donors and dollars raised among all colleges and units across the entire institution. 

All told, UNF Athletics accounted for roughly half of the total donors and a third of the total dollars raised from the institution's Giving Day total. Nearly 90 percent of the entire athletics department donated on Giving Day 2023, with the UNF volleyball program accounting for the largest donor amount and sum raised.
