Texas Tech releases renderings of Jones AT&T Stadium’s new football facilities

The project is the largest facility investment in Red Raiders athletics’ history.

Texas Tech released new renderings Thursday for its ongoing south end zone and Dustin R. Womble Football Center project. It’s the largest facility investment in the athletics department’s history, with a total estimated cost of $220 million.

The project was started in order to construct a new, four-story south end zone building in Jones AT&T Stadium, connecting via skybridge to the Sports Performance Center and the newly planned Womble Football Center. It will have 300,000 combined square feet of space for player development areas such as the Scovell Family Locker Room, an expanded strength and conditioning weight room and a multi-purpose walkthrough room.

These new renderings display the loge boxes and gameday suite options for the south end zone as well as the multi-purpose walkthrough area and locker room.

“This facility, when completed, will not take a backseat to any other school in the country. We have received tremendous interest from many of our supporters regarding this project and anticipate that continuing as we get closer to officially breaking ground,” Texas Tech director of athletics Kirby Hocutt said.
