Crown Welcomes Grant DeWitt as New Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach

St. Bonifacius, MN - Crown College Athletics welcomes Grant DeWitt as the New Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach.

As an athlete Grant competed in both Track & Field and Cross Country at Evangel University where he was a team captain for three years and was a part of the exponential growth of the two programs going from 18 to 65 student athletes. He also qualified for the NAIA Cross Country National Championships and set numerous school records. Following his playing career Grant has coached at both the college level and high school level.

"I am excited to join the strong community and contribute my skills to build the program with the solid foundation that is in place. I'm excited to meet everyone that is currently training and competing for the Polars T&F and XC team and also excited to work hard to recruit the next class of Crown athletes. I can't wait to support all the athletic programs at Crown" said DeWitt.

Grant was born and raided in Watertown, South Dakota and in his free time enjoys wake surfing, running, pickup basketball, and collecting vinyl records. Grant is married to Brooke DeWitt and both are excited to move back up north as he will begin his role on March 6th.

"I am thrilled to welcome Grant and his wife Brooke to the Crown family! As Grant went through the hiring process, he displayed a strong understanding and a mutual passion for the mission of Crown athletics. He fits Crown exceptionally well and I look forward to watching him cultivate relationships, develop student-athletes, and build a strong Cross County and Track & Field Program. I am confident our athletic department is better today with the addition of Grant...I would also like to thank Kurt Patberg with Mammoth Sports Consulting, as well as the others who served on the search committee," said Crown College Athletics Director Mike Vigue.
