The Civic Engagement and Service-Learning (CESL) Office Manager will support the office in its mission to promote learning for life-long, engaged citizenship, partnering with communities on and off campus to work collectively for a more just society.  The Office Manager provides executive level administrative assistance to the Director by assisting in a wide range of complex and confidential matters, including overseeing the director’s schedule and arranging appointments with administrators, faculty, and staff; preparing correspondence; coordinating staff meetings; and maintaining paper and electronic administrative files.
Clerk III (Parking Services) UMass Amherst
Performs complex clerical duties according to departmental procedures, which requires a moderate degree of decision making, uses customer service techniques to provide parking information to University employees, students and campus visitors. Trains new student and full-time employees as needed. May be required to serve as back-up for some of the duties of the Hearings Clerk, Clerk IV, Clerk V and/or Assistant Manager of Administration. Responsible for the smooth movement of information into Parking Services and out to Parking Service customers.

Electrician I (Building Maintenance) UMass Amherst
Installs, maintains, operates, repairs and/or initiates repairs on building systems such as; electric, electronic, electro-mechanical controls, card access/security, fire alarm, communication equipment, and their related devices and performs other related work as required, including but not limited to, repairs and/or initiates repairs on building systems such as; control systems, heating and ventilation (HVAC) systems, cooling towers, pumps and  related  equipment. Employing the use and need of specialized testing and monitoring, diagnostic equipment; works synchronously with Control Technicians / trade personnel maintaining the building systems integrity, exercises functional supervision of other employees of lower grade performing related repair and maintenance activities. Performs related work as required.
Plumber and Steamfitter I (Zone 4) UMass Amherst
Installs, repairs, alters and maintains fluid transmission systems, sanitary fixtures, heating systems, low and high pressure steam lines, condensate lines, water lines, sprinkler lines, sewer lines; and performs other related work as required, including but not limited to, trade related asbestos abatement, repairs and/or initiates repairs on building systems such as; pneumatic control systems, heating and ventilation (HVAC) systems, cooling towers, pumps and  related  equipment. Employing the use and need of specialized testing and monitoring, diagnostic equipment; works synchronously with Control Technicians / trade personnel maintaining the building systems integrity, exercises functional supervision of other employees of lower grade performing related repair and maintenance activities. Performs related work as required.  This is a maintenance function, which includes overtime and returning to work between shifts when directed or called.
Controls & Refrigeration Systems Specialist (Fume Hood) UMass Amherst
Primary responsibility for the operation and maintenance of HVAC-R automation systems and other controls systems. Works with the Building Automation System (BAS) and performs calibration, diagnosis, repair, and replacement of Direct Digital Control (DDC) controls and pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and electronic components. Assists plumbers, pump mechanics, electricians, HVAC mechanics, refrigeration technicians, and other trades in the diagnosis, repair, and replacement of their system components.
Building Maintenance Response Technician (Controls & Refrigeration Systems Specialist) UMass Amherst
Acts as the first responder for all off-shift maintenance calls for all off-shift Metasys Building Operation Systems alarms, temperature (too hot/too cold) calls, and calls involving emergency and routine repairs (as allowed by existing codes) involving non-licensed plumbing, electrical, elevator entrapments and failures, heat and cooling systems, security hardware, locks and life safety equipment failures. Calls also involve fire alarms, sprinkler activation, and custodial calls that present a health or safety risk. Performs corrective actions to trouble calls and alarms or determines that a specialized tradesperson or service contractor is required to make necessary repairs. Performs scheduled maintenance tasks as required or as assigned. Coordinates the actions of personnel called to resolve emergency situations.
