JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - For the fifth consecutive year, North Florida Athletics set a new record for total dollars raised and donors that contributed, as the department generated a record $595,143.08 with the generosity of 1,844 donors following UNF Giving Day on Tuesday, Apr. 2.

The total donor tally is a 1,948.89% increase from the Giving Day in 2019, as well as a 12,672.5% increase in dollars raised from that same year. Additionally, this year's fundraising mark surpasses last year's total of $335,468.36 and featured a 126 donor increase from 2023.

"We are so incredibly thankful to the 1,844 donors who contributed to our Giving Day success! We have now set a donor count record and dollars raised record for five straight years," said UNF Director of Athletics Nick Morrow. "Osprey Nation is supporting our amazing student-athletes at a higher level than ever before. Our potential is boundless and our pursuit of athletic and academic excellence is even more possible with the UNF and Jacksonville community on our side."

This year's effort was intended to support the complete student-athlete experience, from on field or court competition to travel, classwork, nutrition and more. A special credit to the North Florida Athletics Development staff and the efforts of each athletics program, UNF Athletics finished with the most donors and dollars raised among all colleges and units across the entire institution.

UNF Athletics accounted for 42% of the total donors and 26% of the total dollars raised from the institution's Giving Day total. Nearly 75% percent of the entire athletics department donated on Giving Day 2024, with the UNF volleyball program accounting for the largest donor amount and sum raised.

"We are truly humbled by the outpouring of support we received on Giving Day. The generosity of the greater UNF community never ceases to amaze us and we are deeply grateful for each and every gift. Your support will have a profound impact on our athletic department and most importantly our amazing student-athletes," said Matthew Lisiewski, who is the Senior Associate AD of Development. "UNF Athletics remains committed to our mission of providing a first-class student-athlete experience, and we are inspired by the generosity and support of Osprey Nation to continue making a positive impact in the lives of our amazing student-athletes."
