(Friday, April 19; Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt University has announced Eric Bourdo will return as men's soccer coach of the Defenders effective immediately. Bourdo had resigned as Dordt head coach in March to take a similar position at Southwest Baptist University, a position he has since resigned.

"After Coach Bourdo resigned at Southwest Baptist he reached out to inquire if the Dordt coaching position was still open and it was. In many conversations with Eric since then, it is clear he is fully committed to the Dordt men's soccer program and we are pleased to welcome him back," said Trent Roose, Dordt Interim Director of Athletics.

Bourdo resumed his coaching responsibilities at Dordt on April 18.

"Through this process it is evident to me I belong at Dordt and I am grateful Dordt's administration trusts me to continue to lead the program.  I look forward to resuming my work at Dordt and preparing for the 2024 season," said Bourdo.
