INDIANAPOLIS —The NCAA Men’s Volleyball Committee announced today, April 21, the eight teams vying for the 2024 National Collegiate Men’s Volleyball Championship. All eight teams have been seeded and placed in the bracket, starting with a quarterfinal round on Tuesday, April 30. Teams advancing from those matches will then move on to compete in the semifinals, taking place on Thursday, May 2, with the championship match to follow on Saturday, May 4. All rounds of the championship will be hosted by Long Beach State University.
In the first quarterfinal-round match, UCLA (23-5) will play Fort Valley State (13-7). In the second quarterfinal-round match, UC Irvine (19-10) will play Penn State (23-6). Winners of the first two quarterfinal matches will advance to compete in the semifinals. In the third quarterfinal-round match, Long Beach State (25-2) will play Belmont Abbey (21-4). In the fourth quarterfinal-round match, Grand Canyon (25-4) will play Ohio State (22-8), with those third and fourth quarterfinal match winners advancing to compete in the second semifinal matchup. Winners of those semifinal matches advance to the championship on Saturday, May 4, live on ESPN2 at 5 p.m. ET. Game times for the quarterfinal-round matches are scheduled to take place at 2 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET, Tuesday, April 30. The semifinal-round matches are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ET, on Thursday, May 2. All quarterfinal and semifinal-round matches will be streamed live on NCAA.com.

Conferences receiving automatic qualification included the Big West Conference, Conference Carolinas, Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association, Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The remaining two teams were selected at-large without geographical restrictions.
