ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Softball team's season will be ending early due to the amount of injuries this season, announced Friday afternoon.
 
The tough decision has been made with the student-athletes in mind.  
 
"The decision to cancel the remainder of our season was no an easy one, however the health and safety of our athletes is always the number one priority and we as a coaching staff and department had to do what we think is best for our athletes. Definitely no one wanted it to end this way, and I commend the girls for playing so hard this year despite the adversities we've faced and keeping a positive attitude in light of it all, and for that I'm extremely proud of all of them."
