STORM LAKE, Iowa (Apr. 4, 2024) – Buena Vista University President Brian A. Lenzmeier, Ph.D. has announced that he has named Amy Maier as Director of Athletics, effective immediately.
Maier has been with the department for the last ten years and has served as the university’s Interim Director of Athletics since August 2023. Maier also serves as the University’s Senior Women’s Administrator.
“For over ten years Amy has been a dedicated champion for BVU athletics, our coaches and staff members while supporting facility upgrades,” said President Lenzmeier. “I greatly appreciate how Amy places the student experience at the center of everything she does, and I have been inspired by how well she understands the powerful role NCAA Division III athletics can play in achieving BVU’s mission of preparing students for lifelong success through transformational educational programs. Amy represents BVU very well at the conference and NCAA level, and I am thrilled that she is willing to step into the role of Director of Athletics.”
