Jaguar Athletics Raises $192,586 During Augusta Gives

AUGUSTA, GA - The Augusta University Department of Athletics would like to extend our gratitude to all of our alumni, donors, families, and fans for your incredible support as part of the fifth annual Augusta Gives.

Together, we raised $192,586 from a total of 94 donors, making Augusta Gives a truly impactful day for our outstanding student-athletes.

Augusta Gives is the largest one-day fundraiser to benefit Augusta University. Donations for this community-funded initiative are driven by social media posts and shares by students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the university, as well as some of the university's most dedicated supporters who choose to make major gifts on this day. The goal of Augusta Gives is to engage the community, alumni, friends, donors, retirees, employees and students to give at any level to impact projects within Augusta University's colleges, units, health system and athletics programs.

"We certainly appreciate everyone stepping up to support our program during Augusta Gives," said Director of Athletics Ryan Erlacher. "The funds raised will directly help enhance the experience we can provide our student-athletes. We are always looking for ways to elevate our department and these generous gifts will allow us to reach new heights."

"I want to take a moment and say THANK YOU to all the Jags that helped make this Giving Day a HUGE success," said Associate Director of Philanthropy Jason McKenzie. "Without you guys, our student-athletes couldn't compete at the highest level.  Thank you, Jag Nation, for all your support. You truly make a difference. GO JAGS!

Each and every dollar raised during the Augusta Gives provides transformational opportunities to student-athletes, helping them pursue excellence in competition and in the classroom.
