MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's volleyball team has found a home for the 2025 season.

The Rangers, who are wrapping up their third season of varsity competition as a Division III independent, will join the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC), it was announced on Thursday.

Drew will join the CVC along with Wilkes University. The conference currently consists of Eastern Mennonite University, Elizabethtown College, Juniata College, Kean University, Marymount University, Randolph Macon College, Roanoke College, Rutgers University-Newark, and Southern Virginia University.

"Change has long been a feature of the CVC as sports sponsorships have grown throughout the region," noted CVC Commissioner J.J. Nekoloff. "The CVC takes pride in its role fostering that growth and leading by example as one of the best men's volleyball conferences in Division III. I expect that tradition to continue with Drew University and Wilkes University adding to the strong pedigree of the returning six members for the 2024-25 academic year."

"Drew University is excited and honored to be part of the CVC," said Drew Director of Athletics Christa Racine. "Our coaches and student-athletes are excited to have a conference to call home. Thank you to J.J. Nekoloff for helping our university navigate the process and welcome us to their competitive conference."

The Rangers have put together their best season yet this year. Under first-year Head Coach Julian Diaz, Drew has compiled a 13-13 record while winning four more matches than each of the first two men's volleyball teams at Drew. The first CVC match for the Rangers will be on Feb. 7, 2025 against Southern Virginia.

The CVC was formed in 2011 and has seen 23 members compete as part of the conference. The last addition to the conference was in the 2022-23 academic year when Roanoke College joined the league.
