RMU Welcomes Erin Darveau as Associate AD for Business Operations and Senior Woman Administrator

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - RMU Vice President and Director of Athletics Chris King has announced that Erin Darveau will be the athletic department's Associate AD for Business Operations and Senior Woman Administrator.

Darveau comes to RMU after spending last year at Clemson as Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations. In her role, she oversaw all accounts payable-related duties for the interdepartmental athletics units. She was the contact point for Clemson's internal Corporate Sponsorship and Multimedia Rights partner.

Before her time at Clemson, Darveau was at South Florida from 2019 to 2023. She began as USF's Director of Business Operations before getting elevated to Assistant Athletics Director for Business & Finance. Her primary duties included oversight of the athletic business office as well as assisting the CFO in yearly NCAA audits and EADA reports.

Prior to USF, Darveau was at Maryland from 2016 to 2019 serving as Coordinator of Business Operations before getting promoted to Assistant Director of Business Operations.

Her first stop out of college was at Florida Gulf Coast where she was an intern and assistant business manager from 2014 to 2016.

Additionally, Darveau worked with the Boston Red Sox during spring training and became a scout with the Baltimore Orioles.

The captain of the 2014 Ohio U softball team, Darveau led the Bobcats to 114 victories and the 2014 MAC championship. She earned her degree from Ohio U in 2014 with a bachelor's in sports management.

"I am beyond excited to be joining the RMU athletic department in a role where I am able to help and mentor student-athletes," said Darveau. "I would like to thank Vice President and Director of Athletics Chris King, President Patrick and the hiring committee for giving me the opportunity to work at such a student-centered university. My family and I can't wait to become fully immersed in the Bobby Mo community."

"We are excited to welcome someone of Erin's caliber to our senior leadership team," said King. "Erin clearly distinguished herself as the top candidate for the position during our national search, as she was highly recommended by her peers in athletics. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position from her time at Power 5 institutions and will bring a fresh perspective in the management of our finances to meet the financial challenges that are a part of modern college athletics. Erin's experience as a former D1 student-athlete, along with her recent administrative experience at Clemson and South Florida, make her the ideal person to assume the designation and role of the department's Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). We couldn't be more thrilled with Erin's hiring, and are excited for our student-athletes and our coaches as we continue to focus on elevating the student-athlete experience at RMU."

A native of Pickerington, Ohio, Erin is married to Jeremy Darveau, who is the offensive line coach at Pitt. The couple have a son, Jackson and a rescue dog, Maya.
