Centenary University alum, Chris LaBelle ('20) was named the interim head coach just one game into the 2023-24 Season. Prior to coaching the Men's Basketball Program, LaBelle served as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team.Â
Prior To Coaching
Coach LaBelle was a star player for the Cyclones where he would cement his name in the record books, concluding his career in the top three of several records for CU Men's Basketball. Some of his notable career stats are 1,963 points (2nd All-Time), 190 3-Pointers Made (3rd All-Time), 545 FT Made (1st All-Time), 449 Assists (1st All-Time), and 154 Steals (2nd All-Time). LaBelle was a 3x First Team All-Conference player, 2019-20 CSAC Player of the Year, and the Centenary Athletics Cardy Gemma Award Recipient.Â
