GREENVILLE, S.C. - Conference Carolinas Commissioner Chris Colvin recently unveiled that Jill Robbins has been promoted to Associate Commissioner for Championships and Internal Relations/SWA.

In her fifth year with the Conference Carolinas league office, Robbins serves as the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) for the conference office along with assisting with league finances, working with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), overseeing the conference intern program and heading up student-athlete leadership development opportunities. Robbins' expanded role also means that she will take on even more championship responsibilities behind the scenes. She will also serve as the tournament director for the Atlantic Casualty Conference Carolinas Basketball Championships in the 2024-25 academic year.

"Jill is a huge part of everything that we do in Conference Carolinas,' Commissioner Chris Colvin said. "Jill has worked tirelessly over the last five years to enhance our student-athlete experience in numerous ways such as providing even more programming that can help them be successful in the present and in the future. She already also does a ton behind-the-scenes that many do not necessarily know about, and in her expanded role she will continue to help us daily in so many unique ways. Jill's work is first-class and we are blessed that she will be working in this expanded role to help all of our member institutions fulfill their missions through her efforts."

Robbins spearheaded the efforts to create a conference-wide mentorship program for student-athletes interested in a career in sport administration. The mentorship program was named as an NCAA Division II Excellence Award finalist in 2022. In addition, programming for student-athletes in Conference Carolinas has increased over the last few years.

Robbins also helped to create a conference-wide Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Team consisting of the institutional NCAA Diversity and Inclusion Designee and a student-athlete from each campus.

During her first year with the league office, Robbins helped to create the “Leading the Way: Champions in Body, Mind, and Soul” SAAC Retreat and Leadership event that is now held annually. The special weekend features SAAC members and others designated for their leadership qualities from Conference Carolinas involved in community engagement and leadership training.

Robbins has also worked with all Conference Carolinas member institutions to streamline the entire awards process for the league.

The Radford, Virginia native joined the Conference Carolinas league office after spending almost four years working as the Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Services at Coastal Carolina.

During her time at Coastal Carolina, Robbins oversaw a student-athlete academic services department of 500 student-athletes in 19 sports. Robbins was specifically the academic advisor for football, men’s soccer and women’s lacrosse at Coastal Carolina. She also worked with SAAC and Life Skills during her time with the Chanticleers.

Prior to her time at Coastal Carolina, Robbins served three years as the Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Academic Services at West Virginia. She was an academic advisor for the nationally-recognized football program as well as the baseball, volleyball, crew and gymnastics programs. She also served for one year at West Virginia as the Tutor Coordinator for the student-athlete academic services department.

Robbins joined up with the Mountaineers after three years at Virginia Wesleyan College in the Office of Admissions.

Robbins has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Virginia Wesleyan College and a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University.

During her time at Virginia Wesleyan, Robbins played basketball for the Marlins. Robbins and her husband Brad are the proud parents of Weston (2).
