ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Cedar Crest College Director of Athletics, Christy Malone Fleagle, recently announced the promotions of
Kim Begley and
Christian Kiselica. Begley, along with being the Head Softball Coach, will now assume the role of Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and will continue overseeing Title IX, as well as serving as the Senior Woman Administrator while Kiselica will be elevated to Assistant Athletic Director.
"Both Kim and Christian have stepped up as leaders over the last year and have made a positive impact for Cedar Crest Athletics," said Fleagle. "They both bring great leadership to our department and this transition will support them both in higher ed athletics. They both do such a wonderful job in leading not just their respective teams, but the others as well."
Begley will continue to focus on compliance, Title IX issues, while also leading the softball program. She will also assist Fleagle with the department's financial operations. As the SWA, Begley is the highest-ranking female administrator in the department below Fleagle. The Senior Woman Administrator position was created by the NCAA in 1981 to promote meaningful representation of women in the leadership and management of college sports and provide enhanced quality of decision making from the inclusion of a diverse perspective.
Kiselica will remain the point of contact for all athletic facilities rentals and assist with game day events for all athletic programs. He will support all DEI programming for the department and continue to lead the volleyball program.
