Hawaii Pacific University Softball Coach to Get Equal Pay Trial

Hawaii Pacific University will face trial on whether it discriminated against the head coach of its women’s softball team by paying her less based on her gender.

The university says the coach, unlike the men she compares herself to, was classified as a part-time employee and that she repeatedly declined to accept full-time status and the full-time pay that came with it.
