Kent State Places Two Administrators on Division-I Sport Committees

KENT, Ohio - A pair of Kent State Athletics' administrators have been appointed as members of the Division-I Women's Lacrosse and Division-I Women's Field Hockey committees as announced by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Suzette McQueen, Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator, will serve on the Division-I Women's Lacrosse committee on September 1st. Amy Densevich, Associate Athletics Director for Academic Services, was added to Division-I Field Hockey committee. Both terms begin September 1 and will run through August of 2027.

McQueen provides leadership for the department's revenue generation initiatives, external operations, athletics communications, and athletics philanthropy and engagement processes. She serves as the sport administrator for women's soccer, men's and women's basketball and women's lacrosse. As SWA, McQueen represents Kent State at the conference and national level.

In her current role, Densevich works with men's and women's golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, gymnastics and volleyball is the direct supervisor of the Academic Resource Center (ARC) and oversees the Student-Athlete Opportunity Fund, the International Student-Athlete program and the graduate academic intern program. In 2023 she launched the Coaches Leadership Academy She is the sport administrator for field hockey, wrestling and softball.

The NCAA features committees for every sponsored sport at the Division-I, II, and III levels. Committees are composed of volunteers from member schools and conferences who include college and university presidents, athletics directors, coaches, student-athletes, staff, faculty members, and conference office personnel.  Sport committees govern each sport and are responsible for administering their respective championships, including establishing brackets and selecting teams to fill them. The committees also contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and rule changes for their respective sport.
