John Tagliaferri Named New Associate AD for Digital Media and Communications

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Saint Peter's University Director of Athletics Rachelle Paul has named John Tagliaferri as the department's new Associate Athletic Director for Digital Media and
Communications. 

Tagliaferri comes to Saint Peter's from Caldwell University where he was the Director of Athletic Media Relations for eight years. He previously served as the Director of Athletic Media Relations/Communications at Pace University for eight years.

"I want to thank Director of Athletics Rachelle Paul and the athletics administration for this incredible opportunity to join the Saint Peter's staff," said Tagliaferri. "I am looking forward to working with the student-athletes, coaches, staff, and alumni as well as departments across the Saint Peter's campus and be a part of the continued growth of the department and the institution." 

In his role with the Cougars, Tagliaferri oversaw the communications for the department's 17 sports with 14 competing at Division II level. He managed the communications for the athletics
department and was the website administrator for Official Caldwell Athletics website, caldwellathletics.com. Tagliaferri also directed other special events including the hall of fame ceremony, the athletics senior recognition ceremony and represented the department on the Caldwell University golf outing committee. In 2017 and 2020, Tagliaferri led redesigns of the
Caldwell Athletics website via SideArm Sports. He is former member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Marketing Committee (2016-2019) and the CACC Hall of Fame Committee (2019-2022).

Tagliaferri is an active member in the College Sports Information Director's of America Association (CoSIDA) since 2007. He served on the CoSIDA Publications and Digital Design Awards Committee in 2019-20 and is currently a member of the CoSIDA Membership Recognition Committee since 2020 and the CoSIDA Academic All-America Committee since 2021. In October 2019, Tagliaferri joined the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Executive Committee.

Tagliaferri graduated from Pace in 2000 with a Bachelor's Degree in History with a minor in Education. He went on to earn his Master's Degree in Political Science from Fairleigh Dickinson
University's Teaneck Campus in 2006 and is currently pursuing a second Master's Degree in Higher Education from Caldwell.
