Keagan Blancke Named Next Head Tennis Coach

St. Bonifacius, Minn. – After an extensive search Keagan Blancke will be the next Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach for the Polars.

Coach Blancke currently works as a USPTA certified tennis professional at lifetime fitness in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Blancke previously coached for the University of Northwestern St. Paul in 2014.

When asked about his heart for coaching Blancke said, "My coaching mission is to make disciple makers on and off the court. I want those playing tennis at Crown to grow with their relationship with the Lord first and foremost. Second, I want these athletes to have fun and grow in their relationship with others. Thirdly, I want them to improve as tennis players."

Blancke as a player finished his career with the most all-time wins in program history at the University of Northwestern and now sits 4th all time. In 2011 he won the deciding match for UNW to win the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference against the College of St. Scholastica. He earned NCCAA 2nd Team All-American in 2012 and 2013 and was a 4-time UMAC All-Conference Selection.

"I felt God was in this whole process. After talking with President Denton and the Director of Athletics Steve Tebbs it was clear that it was the right fit. I am really excited to see what the Lord brings through Polars tennis!" said Coach Blancke.

Most recently Blancke completed his Masters in Ministry Leadership from Crown College in 2019. Blancke completed a bachelor's degree in electronic media communications in 2013 at the University of Northwestern. He graduated from Elk River high school in 2009.

"We are very excited that Keagan has joined the Polar Family. He brings a wealth of tennis experience both as a former player and instructor. More importantly, he loves Jesus and will be integral in the continued growth of the Crown tennis program," said Director of Athletics Steve Tebbs.

Keagan and his wife Brittany currently reside in Mound, Minnesota and have three children (Roman, Adelaide, and Forrest).
